animu for u

For any anime fan it was a bad day when they found out Geneon USA, a sizable anime licensor went under. It left several anime series partially released and several others would probably never see the light of day in the states. As well as a huge backlog of older titles. Apparently Funimation is willing to release several of Geneon's titles.

Hopefully this means that I can finally get my hands on Second Barrage and the rest of When they Cry.

I'm more interested in the rest of Saiunkoku and the second season of Kyo Kara Maoh! :P
I'm glad I got all those Geneon DVDs after all.

Funi's on a roll lately.

I'm not a huge anime fan, but Funimation's released a series called Hell Girl that I'm pretty interested in seeing. It looks absolutely gorgeous and dark as hell. Anyone seen it?

I really hope Funimation rereleases some of the older Geneon properties in box sets. But who else would buy the complete box set of Master Keaton? :(

I don't believe Master Keaton was one of the titles Funimation picked up unfortunately. Luckily I keep seeing them DVDs in bargain bins usually for no more than ten dollars each... So I'd hold out hope!

I'd totally buy a complete box set of Master Keaton :(
(The only reason I didn't buy the singles when they were cheap was because I decided I needed Fighting Spirit instead. Now that's a show no one bought)

Where pray tell do you find these bargain bins? Other than Rightstuf the cheapest I've seen them is $30 each. D=

I was going to buy the DVDs during that Geneon sale, but my hopes and dreams were crushed when I learned Rightstuf doesn't ship to Canadian PO boxes. Oh, the humanity!

Er... Rightstuf?
I've seen them at the Amazon Marketplace for less than $30 too.
But Rightstuf is usually where I buy my anime dvds.

Though when I do walk around in the dealer's room at conventions I tend to see them in bargain bins there...
